ye but taking the original badge off isnt a good idea. well it is to do a proper job but it will need putting back on.

when the original metal badge is off the lock it shows grooves through it on the lock itself which shows up bad through the new decal.

so i got some clear silicone and i siliconed the new resin badge to the metal badge

you must clean the metal badge properly and give it a light sand with sum sand paper otherwise it shows up through the new badge.

here is what ive got so far . i used clear silicone because any access that squeezes out you wont see

PS - there is still bubbles in the resin which i am dissapointed in but it is gonna look a lot better than it was

NOTE - THE KEY HOLE SECTION WILL SIMPLY STICK ONTO THE PLASTIC ONCE METAL BADGE REMOVED. THAT BIT IS FINE WITH ITS OWN STICKY BACK. AND IS NICE AND FLAT.

I was supposed to be working till 5, but boss wasn't there so did mine whilst in car park
Boss of unit next door came out and asked what I was doing, and I showed him the badge
He said the resin needs doing within the vacuum to prevent the air getting in

Good attempt Gaz, think the original black suits the lid better though. Sometimes you can colour code too much, although you only realise this after you've got everything screwed back on
