Re: My 110HDi LX Family
Well, thanks to Steve Earwig I now have mint rear seat bases again. Only took 20mins to remove the rusty metal bases & replace them with the new ones from Steve's old interior. Making the height adjustable passenger seat (using Steve's LHD driver seat) might be a bit more of a challenge than anticipated though as the height adjustments are part of the seat frame & not just the base, but I'm not giving up on that yet! After all, I'm still waiting for these useless couriers to pick up my SRi interior from the poor guy that sold it to me.
Was also nice to have the opportunity to meet Steve, his friend (who only lives 10mins away from me) & his lovely wife (who was kept well & truly occupied by my little boy while the men were shite talking).

Yes, but it's really easy. You won't have that problem in yours as the saloon bases are just sponge bottom anyway, but you just need some needle-nose pliers to start & most of the rest comes off with your fingers.

Still waiting for my SRi seats to arrive, but preparations were already underway for my height adjustable (manual) passenger seat:
Look familiar Steve? You're bang on about those hog rings - must be called hog rings because they're such a pig to take out. Haven't decided yet whether I'm going to transplant the SRi cushions & covers myself or if I'm going to pay for a pro to do it.

Re: My 110HDi LX Family
I've got an SRi saloon interior coming from a guy that was breaking his car. The front seats are going in mine so that I can have manual front seats again (thus saving a fair bit of weight & getting rid of my untidy extra wiring that I had to run through) & the electric front seats from mine are going to be sold off with the saloon rear seats & whichever doorcards I'm left with (as I haven't decided whether I fancy the blue wood effect or not yet) to recoup some of the expense.
The thing with manual seats is that you only ever have height adjustment on the driver's seat, so Steve's old driver's seat (which would be a passenger seat in a UK car) has been gutted ready for the SRi cloth & cushions to go on giving me an uber-rare interior - SRi half leather in a red car with 2 manually adjustable front seats with height adjustment.
Now if I could just find a way to combine a saloon backrest with the estate item to produce an estate with a centre rear armrest. Hmmmm....

Re: My 110HDi LX Family
Didn't realise how long it had been since I'd added anything to this thread, but as it stands at the mo, this will probably be the last update I make. The new car arrived Thursday, so most of Good Friday (& the Saturday) has been spent restoring back to as standard a spec as possible & cleaning ready for sale. Luckily the letter came from the DVLA on Saturday so the original registration is now back on the car:
As you can see, the SRi interior was a vast improvement on the old electric SE seats:
Here is the sub-standard replacement mirror that I had to fit following the wobbly pensioner:
& the dent that his mirror left on my rear wing:

Not much point playing "Guess the Model" as you only have to put the reg number into an insurance quote to get the answer. Stuck the Pug on Autotrader this afternoon with a slightly inflated price (so that I can either use up the £90 of diesel or not be too pi**ed off if it sells too early), but will probably stick it on Ebay over the weekend while they're doing no insertion fees.
