Must just be the style at the time, it kind of reminded me of that I saw every time I opened the bonnet on my BX 16 valve...

That little car looks like it'd be an absolute blast. I'm not much into the hot-hatch scene, but stripped-out interior + uprated engine = craploads of track-day fun.
2002 (D9) Peugeot 406 Coupe SE, 2.2 litre Petrol. Scarlet Red/Rouge Ecarlate/Rosso Scarlatto. Black Leather interior. SOLD
2008 (E60 LCI) BMW 525i M-Sport, 3.0 litre Petrol. Carbonschwarz Metallic. Black Dakota Leather and Myrtlewood interior.

Didn't you want the 4x4 system?
mind you the donor cars' 4x4 system was probably the
reason it was a donor in the first place
Anyway, congrats, as you win the coveted 'Longest Gear Stick Award 2011'

The cam cover is now back on, those engine bay pics are 2 years old now. It's also running an air filter.
A lot of works been done to it. You guys should be able to access this:
