I am more than just a little bit

All the c*** took was my gym bag and £2 in 20p pieces.
£145 for Autoglass to replace the window and they can't do it till tomorrow. Dealer quoted £190 and they don't have a window in stock.

If I tell my insurance company I'll lose my no-claims and end up paying for it ten times over.
I didn't want to bother with the police because I trust them even less than the c*nt, they won't catch anyone, and they won't fix anything, i.e., they are less than useless.

Spent ages vaccing it out, but I know I'm going to be finding bits of glass forever more.

If you've got time today mate, go to the nearest breaker & chuck one of the lads £20 to chuck a window in yours (if you're not up for doing it yourself).

Chances are most breakers will have a 406 window & the guys that took them out will be happy to stick it in yours if they're getting cash in the pocket. Gets you sorted quicker & cheaper.

MOST important question: is there any difference between the 4 combinations of D8/D9 and saloon/estate?

So that's a non-starter :(

Found scrap in Wokingham, got there at about 4:45 then got thrown out at 5 when they close, so I'll be off back tomorrow morning

Massive thanks to midsmike for his advice.

I got stuck trying to get the glass out of the scrapper. Got the two runner nuts off but the top bolt is tight against the hole and won't push through (nomatter how hard I hit it -- and I was in the mood for hitting quite hard). So any ideas welcomed...

Well it aint over yet...

Autoglass fitted a clear window, but mine are tinted. I didn't notice in the dark when the window was fitted.

So, I've been back to Wokingham and got the correct window from scrap.

Having had a good ferret round inside the door, I now also know that they f*cked up vaccing out all the bits of broken glass (in fact after the fitter had 'finished' I grabbed the vac and did a bit more).

Autoglass want to come to sort it out tomorrow, so I want to get my glass fitted tomorrow morning so I can send them away with their wrong glass.
Any tips for getting the plastic runner out of and back into the track? I just pulled all the rubber off the scrapper, which seemed a bit excessive.

I'd like a full refund from Autoglass. From their point of view a refund for the glass is fair. From my point of view I've been pissed about.

Well that was easy enough.

Do these windows look the same tint to you?

Just passed an MOT.
I was expecting a drive shaft oil seal as spotted by Jasper5, maybe a ball joint, and at least an advisory on a tyre or two. But nothing! Straight through!
Paid enough for it though: £150 for MOT, oil & filter.

On the one hand, I quite fancy getting the cat smashed out and losing a box on the exhaust, and then maybe a remap.
And I ought to sort out the passenger door.
I'd love to take it to 300k.
On the other hand, did you see how nice Jasper5's 407 is?
