I know this is an age old thread but are there any updates?
I'm in the process of buying a very tidy 406 2.1 td and which to undertake a Bosch conversion, the mechanical work I can do, it just the issue of the tacho not working above 3k rpm that I would need an answer to... had a look on ebay for one of those ecus, no luck

I'm hoping the last poster can explain to me a bit more about solving this issue without a new ECU since the video link no longer works

I've done it recently and found that if you don't type your immob code in before starting the tacho won't be affected. If you need to know owt let me know as I'm happy to help.
