It took a while
I've heard the 2.2's are not too bad in limp mode...
I shall just double the estimated time to doggys on google maps..........

Nice car sonia, Id get a heater or hairdryer out and get the carpet dried before it goes musty, i had saturated front carpets for a while, i wasn't nice.

The DPF is reminding me of this 307 my cousin is working at, there is something very satisfying about beating the centre out of them.

I've been saying it smells like feet for a week or so....
But last night discovered the boys have left their PE kit and trainers in the back so that might have something to do with it

Did a really clean job of smashing the DPF up... impressed with the work that lad put in... The thing was pretty blocked anyway so was sucking up the bhp, it was so slow... Now, good grief, hold on or your bum slides all around these leathers..........

I thought the Eolys that Peugeot used was something else? The pig wee is just the Adblue that we put in the trucks. Had to watch a video on vehicle checks the other day & they even referred to it as the "urea tank".

Urea/pigs' wee is not the FAP/DPF additive, it's for SCR (selective catalytic reduction) systems. The 406s aren't fitted with these, but lots of HGVs are, and they're gradually making their way into passenger vehicles too.

I only call it pigs wee as I can never spell eolysis /oelsis / eolys....PIGS WEE.!!!

Sonia, limp mode is okay on a 2.2, but hills are down to 40mph and the more you put your foot down, the slower it goes... Feathering the throttle is okay though.

Don't want to rain on your parade, but there are many possible, 'downgraded modes', (limp), depending on what ails yout particular pug.

The one you get when it thinks it's out of additive, doesn't limit revs or boost, but limts injection volume to 30 ml/cycle, (or a bit under 50%), This isn't too annoying as it will wind it's way up to 80 ish eventually in the flat.

If it thinks it's overheating, or one or two other problems, it's a lot more restrictive.

If you have insomnia, (or a really long hill to climb), study this: http://ftp.psyborg.rpg.pl/hdi/Citroen%2 ... Filter.pdf
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)
