Hi
I'm picking my first Peugeot up on Tuesday after owning VW's for the past god knows how long
It's a 52 plate HDI and comes with 10 months MOT and is fairly clean and tidy..apat from that I know nothing about it
these are the only photo's I have at the moment but will post more once i've fetched it home
Looks okay to me, although you might want to clean that muck off the number plates before driving it .....
Its a good car, maybe the nicest colour too.
The people here are a good bunch, helpful and knowledgeable - not scared of an argument either..!!

Yes, that is a good price for any car with a long MOT and decent bodywork / mechanicals.
Good result.

cheers
just had a list of advisories from the mot... picky buggers
New tyre
arb bushes
New seatbelt as they couldn't fully check existing one due to child seat fitted
Tyre is cool - they all wear eventually, plenty of recommended part worn places if money is a bit tight but new is obviously the better option.
ARB bushes are straightforrwards I believe, not that I've done one but there is probably a topic on here somewhere.
The seatbelt? Thats a new one on me. New seatbelt not required, just remove the child seat ( MOT testers are not allowed to remove child seats, I think this makes them a bit moody... )

Pootz,
Anti-roll bar bushes are straight forward enough, you just need to remove the drop links first to enable you to change them so you might as well change them while your at it .
You just need to make sure that you buy the right size bushes, theres 3 diferent sizes I.I.R.C o/d is all the same it the i/d that can differ so you need to remove you old ones & messure the hex bit of the bar with a set of calipers.
Hope this helps DDD .

Well it's finally home and has a few faults i need to sort out but nothing drastic
1 - the display for the clock / radio / MPG etc doesn't illuminate - blown bulb or new unit?
2 - the passenger side wing mirror glass is cracked
3 - i put the driver side window down a bit for some air and when i tried to raise it the window went down all the way. it took 10 minutes of wobbling the switch to get it to come back up again so i presume the switch unit needs replacing
in answer to quinnys question it has done 131,000 miles
i did 110 miles in it today and it never missed a beat so overall i'm really happy with it

1 - Theres three bulbs in the back of it for backlight I.I.R.C .
2 - stick on replacement off ebay or scrapers for a good glass unit (if yours are heated the best bet).
3 - pop it out & strip & clean with contact cleaner & a toothbrush.

wing mirror will be sorted the weekend as ordered a replacement glass
how do the display units come out to replace bulbs?
If it's the display with two little buttons either side of the screen (Type B) then:
Flick the two small pieces of trim either side of the display out with a screwdriver, undo the 4 T20 Torx bolts and slide the display out. Remove the electrical connector.
There are three bulbs in the back, they're about 30p each from motor factors. I can get you the Peugeot part numbers if it helps, but any LMF should have them lying around since they're used on loads of PSA cars.
If it's the Type C display (no buttons, just a circle for the IR receiver) then it's much more of a faff
