Yeah I'm using one of those xenon kits. They can quite easily be bought from fleabay. The one I just fitted into the D9 was this one. I know it's from HK, but it arrived in 3 days and the guy marked the item as a "gift" so I didn't get stung by Customs.
This is what arrived:

They even came with installation instuctions which are here

My engine isn't as clean as those pics at the moment, I'm gonna have to give it a clean after I've fitted the rear discs in this weekend.

Maglite, did you read this post:

viewtopic.php?t=1180&start=0&postdays=0 ... highlight=

Voltron considered there was too much glare from the standard reflector lens and replaced them with projectors, a mammouth task.

According to Mr Car Lighting God it is not successful to add a HID bulb to a standard lens because the optics are way different, I did a lot of reading up about all this.

The main problem is the cut-off line and glare above the line. If you notice on a factory option car with HID's they allways have projectors to produce the beam. In fact some say that fitting HID's to a standard lens is illegal, but it is a grey area.

Have a look Here aswell, go to HID, then 'retrofit' some interesting HID retrofit results.

How's your beam pattern?

Hey! you know that post you just showed me, I remember looking at a 406 on Cardomain with envy. I think it's the same car. The 406 on Cardomain was this one.

The beam pattern is same as before with the halogens, however a lot stronger and whiter. I have set the beam dip position to 1 as an extra precaution not to dazzle anyone. I really would love to put some projectors into the headlight housings. Is Voltron still around on this forum? I'll have to pm him. He really did an amazing job on the lights:

I'll take some pics at night of the pattern & post them a bit laer.

Voltron is around, in fact I asked him some questions recently via PM. He's very knowledgeable and he will reply to you.

Normally I'll go off on one when I hear about people fitting "ultrabright!!!111oneonelolrotflbbq" lights to their cars, but in this case - thank you! :)
