According to ServiceBox, this is 'Icelandic Grey'. I reckon it's blue, what do you think....

Nice colour. Yes, looks like a very light metallic blue to me, maybe that's what the "Icelandic" bit's about (why blue though? I didn't think they were famous for their glacial lakes or anything else that's blue. Volcanoes, boiling mud, Björk Guðmundsdóttir yes but nothing much that's blue...)

Then again my brother's fairly blue about the money he invested there... :|

Very nice, you don't see many in that colour.

Anyone else think that it's crying out for the infamous "Welton Panel" 8)

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

Would that be the one that everybody & his dog fitted apart from its namesake?

Being a newbie I didn't see the legend unfold, where did it come from anyway?

You know how they tart up the last few cars off the line before they change over to the next generation of cars?... yup that was it!

Welton was the first to spot it and get a part number from his local stealer (my stealer denied that such a thing even existed until I went in there with the part number  ), hence it's named after him even though he never actually got one himself  .

By the way doggy, your car needs "bluey bling" too 8)

I've looked at quite a few & didn't notice anything else fitted there, but you could be right. Did notice a black spoiler on Dai's car, but assumed this was the vaunted 'Laguna splitter'.
The motoring press used to wax lyrical about the frontal appearance of the 406, "tremendous road presence", and described the D9 front end as "more aggressive" Now that would never do, would it?
Was wondering how it would look with a red background to the lion badge, whatd'ya think

Yes, that looks OK, did try to track down how to at one time, but didn't find it

Yeah it is, but there should be a black rubber bit about 2" deep that hangs down under the bumper, width starts and stops under the foglights. They get minced very easily and it's dead easy to rip them off on a curb when parking nose in.... Picked mine up off the road twice over the years  but now it's on a shelf in the garage.

Having spent ages with google images as I'm too lazy to go to the other computer and look at my own old photos.... Here you go mate, you can see it on this one

I did spot the Welton Panel when a 53 plate parked outside my office one day (probably around 2006?) so I had a looky at it :supafrisk:

The trouble I had with mine was that it's Diablo red and I don't think the chrome trim works that well on this colour :|

They've been glued, siliconed, screwed, riveted and botched in by many a member since :)
