My white 96 ,1.9td
I just thought its about time I update my pics of the old tubby.
Just a wee bit low, i put a small can of wd40 beside to show how low lol
Was parking up and couldn’t resist parking beside another 406 (not a tubby lol).

I don't mean to be pedantic but the other car in the last pic is either a 1.8 or 2.0 petrol. Not a tubby
I have a penchant for white 406's. Your one looks lovely. You may consider painting the mirrors. Flick over to my post in pug pictures 'Eoins 406' and you will see the painted mirrors which used to be black like yours. If you need any advice painting just ask. Painted mirrors make a huge difference i think

cheers Eoin, aye it looks far better with white ones, ive been looking out for a cheap set in the breakers and ebay. Wasnt too fussed tho, because where im liven at the minute, theres a tendency for wing mirrors to be kicked off, my 106 lost one last year and my housemates 306 lost both.
oh, and how to you no its petrol? straight pipe?

That's a good ole' slammin!
Did you fit shorter drop links to suit?
Some cars artificially load up the their anti roll bars when lowered and it makes the handling a bit "interesting"

I love the look of the de-badged front grill, was it a lot of work? A wheelbarrow load of filler for the bumper I guess
Top job, looks the business

Nice and low, you could do with bigger rims on there though. Just my opinion.
Liking the smoothed front end too, and is that a 607 lip spoiler?
What's the ride comfort like then? Doesn't look like you could have much suspension travel on the back end?

Hows it goin? I made the grill myself, as for the eyelids i got them off the internet but cant mind where as it was over a year ago. I think they wer around £20 I remember seeing a site wer you can buy the grill but it was £70 and it still leaves you with the gap in the bumper.

On the pics above, are there actually any rear springs fitted? Just you can see half the spring cup and it doesn't look like there's a spring in it...
