Out For A Drive

Post by highlander »

Hello all,

Just back home in Aberdeen from a loooong drive south from my parents house in Thurso - except we took the scenic route. Took a drive westwards along the North coast of Scotland towards Durness, turning South and heading through Scourie down to Ullapool, then cutting in across the mainland to Inverness and then through to Aberdeen. Total distance is 298 miles. Stunning scenery, gorgeous weather, and a 406 to turn a good day out into a great day out.

Here's a photo I took of the 406 along the way (that's Mrs Highlander over by the passenger door):

Cheers

Nice car and scenery!

Its weird seeing D9's without foglights as all D9's over here were issued with them.

Couldn't agree more 8)
I've never done that bit of Scotland - my family's from Argyll, I've 'done' a lot of the West coast as far up as Ullapool & the East as far as Inverness - where was the pic taken?

Methinks you're leaning on an open door there Welly :!:
Doggy was out for serious walkies at the weekend too - Manchester & Wrexham on Saturday, East Sussex on Sunday - nothing like as scenic, but 600-odd miles at a fair clip and 45.6 mpg overall. 8)

I know you 90 & 110 chaps can outdo this fairly easily, but I'm pleased with that result for a fairly well loaded Dogmobile :D
