Very nice mate. I like the way you put the seats down to get a good interior photo. May i make two suggestions?
1. Get some 406 carpet mats. I have em and it looks like they're not even there.
2. Get a chrome tailpipe cover. The standard exhaust looks a little weak
Unbelievably clean job though. How did u get the tar off the wheelarches (if you did at all)

Very clean!
Rapiers are weird; why does this one have a silver surround dials and my exec doesn't?

i used to have a set of the genuine carpet mats on my old 406 but i sold them with the car as i wasnt intending to get another one as i got offered an 02 Vectra B SRI 130 1.8 in petrol blue but im glad i decided to go for the pug!, i couldnt agree more i wanted to get a chrome tailpipe cover i was looking in halfrauds but even the smallest one looked like a baked bean tin would a peugeot SP one from any other model fit it? thanks for all the comments! ive had the car since march but i havent had the time to give it a really good wash and polish but i was suprised how different it looks after a good clean i also swapped the tyes around as the fronts (now on the back) only had 2.5m left on them so thatll be the next job when i get paid!...yeah i noticed a lot of higher spec cars dont have the chrome im hoping to fit a set of white dails off an S or SE well i want to turn the interior into a late car with the silver dash and white clocks and half leaher but ill have to see how everything goes if i get my new job ill hopefully get a late high spec HDI for about £2500!
I used the jet wash in work on friday afternoon to blast the thick dirt and tar off and then while the car was up on stands with all 4 wheels off i just used a bit of white spirit and the industrial strength mr muscle from work to wipe all the crap off then sprayed a little back to black in there i meant to spray the rear drums matt black again as they are a bit rusty but i ran out of paint to next weekend thatll be the next job along with the crunching, whirring clicking fan motor behind the glovebox!

Sun of a gun on the rubber mats brings them up like new (after they have been given a good power hose and scrub!)

No doubt! But you wouldn't have rubber mats in a lounge would you? I think they're only for Defenders IMO

I have both carpet and rubber ones. The carpet holds mud and dirt which take alot more effort to clean. The rubber ones, you just hit them with the hose and its gone.

Super shiny, that motor. Agree on the chrome tail pipe, would set the whole thing off a treat.
Could you possibly take the AA badge off, though? Or at least straighten it up :p

haha i straightened it up today actually i nticed so i tightened the bolt and made it all straight, yeah im on the hut for a chrome tail pipe for it i wanted a Peugeot SP one i just need to see what ones will fit the 406! i agree with the rubber mats but as im a caretaker a pair of size 12 dirty, wet steel toe cap boots would wreck a carpet in about 5 minutes haha and nobody noticed my boot spoiler is bent i need to straigten it up im guessing a hot air gun and a rolled up newspaper underneath would sort it?and im not 100% sure but i think under the car at the back is the bracket for a detatchable tow bar am i right? and it hit 94000 miles yesterday stills runs perfect!
