peugeot406rapier wrote:very very nice thats the cleanest 406 ive seen! the volvo is fantastic! i honestly cant tell you the last time i saw that model on the roads! im only 20 myself and i passed my test at 17 and jumped into a 406 youll love it!! im now on my 3rd 406 and i have a 306 rallye as my project car, i must admit though i quite like the 406 sw touch! lol, id leave the estate as it is it really looks good it looks clean and loved but also a bit different from other GLX's out there!
Thanks for the comment :D

Yeah the volvo is getting a bit of a rare beast - you see the later model with smaller plastic bumpers and a re-styled front end quite often, but i have never seen a model with the big aluminium shock absorbing bumpers and flat fronted bonnet on the road yet - only at shows.

Im not keen on the SW badge - i dont like badges anyway, so to be honest id rather just take them all off (excluding the middle logo) but id better not as I need to stay on Dads good side....

Dont worry, the car will still be kept clean and loved, in fact the first thing i want to do when i eventually get insured and the car swapped to my name, is waxoyl the arches and get some of the wax I use on the volvo onto the paintwork (unlike Dads carplan sh***!)

yeah true, it does look cleaner without badges, good thing you dont want to take off the middle badge because there will be 2 holes in your tailgate haha! yeah thats a good idea ive waxoyled my whole pug quarter panels, doors, sills, wings, bonnet and i done where i could in the box sections and chassis ends at the front and rear!, yeah thats why the volvo stood out i think the last chrome bumpered volvo ive seen on the roads was a P1800ES lol

Teamster1975: Thanks :) Yeah the CG125, even though it is only a 125, is a great laugh and is surprisingly quick if you get the right gear coming off a roundabout or similar!

Cragus: Thanks for the comment, see above about the CG'. Not sure what size the cone is...

rapier: Yeah i'll just take the SW badge off when Dad isnt looking (Someone must have nicked it, or it fell off when i washed the car....;) )

I know you cant take the middle badge off cause of the pins - the old one went manky along the bottom edge so my Dad pulled it off and replaced it with the later style all chrome one (it was the square-ish black one originally). P1800ES's are gorg' :D My grandad had one up until recently...

No, Bluey, I spotted that.

Was dead jealous, too - I figured I probably had the lowest-mileage 406 on the forums (my V-reg D9 having done 27,500-ish when I bought it in Nov 2008).

After this weekend, mine will have passed 45,000 miles...

Thats a really nice fleet of vehicles you have there :)

The 406 is ultra clean and I'm really liking those alloys. Suit the car perfectly I think.
