Hi folks,
back on the road after having a large part of my backbone welded up (due to old age and misuse). I have climbed back into the cockpit for the first time in 6 months to find a wobbly judder through the steering wheel when braking. First thoughts are bushes worn but would like advice before I drag my still not 100% body under the car. Also I have a strange "flapping" noise from what appears to be one of the rear wheels. If I was in better health I would have had the hub to bits and looked at the parking brake shoes. Again any pointers to save me a bit of crawling underneath would be really helpful.
By the way, la mujer (the wife) has ben driving it for the last six months and reports "no problems"
Nice to be back awaiting your assistance.
Andy

Re: judder when braking
Steering judder on braking is usually down to a warped front disc
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
