ABS+Brake fault

Post by Peter86 »

Hi Guys, hoping you can help.

I have two brake errors popping up centre console and two lights on the dash, the say "ABS Fault, and Brake fault". Also my brake pedal seems to be "buzzing" me at low speeds. Apart from that the brakes are fine, i replaced the discs and pads last month. Any ideas what could be causing this? is there a sensor i can check?

Any help appreciated

it wouid be hard to guess upon,

best bet wouid to be have the car read for fault codes ithink,

couid be a faulty sensor or relucter ring or break /chaff in a wire,

Thanks lozz, havent got any diagnostic equipment, and not too keen on taking it to the garage for a bill. Are there any wires/sensors i can physically check?

There is a Abs sensor on each corner, so other than checking the wires to them for breaks etc
theres not much way of knowing if one of them is at fault (perhaps Multimeter)

You couid check the Reluctar rings (Teeth on end of drive shafts) for Cracks /breaks,
a fine crack can lead to the abs kicking in or abs light coming,

Ask on here see if anyones got a code reader or pp2000 in your area
someone might be able to help there

Fixed this error - the ABS ring was split and spinning on the shaft. Nothing a little araldidte couldnt handle!
