"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

I'll have to find a picture of it and put it in the scanner
Never bothered before as only had the scanner recently

Not got many of it, but a few of it when we were fitting the Astra 16v engine into it

wont the police have something to say if you lower it so much..

you need to find out the legel ride hight before you do ..
as far as am aware there is no set legal ride height as long as the springs are secure and not cut ,heated or welded to seats.

the apparent only difference in the 306 and 406 is the spring seat itself. tho i will get me vernier calipers out and go and annoy my local motor factor and get back to you all.

:cheesy: know the feeling plod i had 106 lowered 80mm at front and 3 nicks on torsion bar at rear which equivalent to 80-90mm and on a 106 thats jus 2 inches at the sill and 1 at the splitter  very impractal but it was the "1low6"

cheers Andy

In NZ it's 100mm from the lowest structural point on the car, so bodykits, exhausts don't count. You can get certified to go lower if you wanted.

I guess this lowering business is personal choice - I don't really go for it, but agree it can look good in moderation.

What I find infuriating is have to follow some of the more extreme examples as they crawl over speed bumps at less than walking pace. Nowadays, I just drive round them in the other lane if there's nowt coming.

The cheapest option I've found for lowering my 406 was to park it on the drive and wait for the springs to snap, you can't drive it but it was bloody low !!!!
