Hi
Thanks for the link, but unfortunately it does not recognise my vin number
Your efforts much appreciated shame it does not work on mine, although I am not surprised as everybody says the handbrake shoes are all the same but mine are defiantly different.
I would upload the photo's but cant seem to get it to work
Best regards
Marc

Re: handbrake shoes
Without the VIN it lloks like there are 4 possibilities:
4241 J4 BRAKESHOE SET, 228X40, WITHOUT ASBESTOS
4241 6W FIRST MOUNTING BRAKES KIT, DIAM 228X40, WITHOUT ASBESTOS
E170065 EM:PRE-FITTED RR BRAKE KIT PSA
LVWK22 M:REAR BRAKE KIT PSA
Try searching each of those, or asking your parts supplier, maybe you'll find a match......
Good luck

Re: handbrake shoes
The Asian site doesn't accept your VIN no. (but it is correct - the European version recognises it but of course it won't let you access anything for free ).
Sorry, I'm out of ideas.

Re: handbrake shoes
No problem, very nice of you to try, Its just my handbrake has never been all that good even with all new cables and only scrapes through the MOT every year, I think this year might be the fail.
Thanks again for your help, I just seem to have a rouge Car
Best regards

Re: handbrake shoes
A rogue car? Shocked that they're different, are the simple drum brakes? You could try scuffing up the inside of the drum before the mot, I used to do this on mine and they worked for long enough to get through the safety test. You could find a place to reline the old shoes, hopefully they're not all defunct where you are (there's a place within walking distance here that does that but that's probably not much help to you). If they're disks-in-drums get the softest material they have.

Re: handbrake shoes
Hi
I have looked to see if anyone locally (Kent UK) is offering a re-lining service and can not find any, I wish I could upload the photo's of the shoes from the car and the shoes supplied (2 sets) incidentally both suppliers were supplied with the Reg No and the VIN number but still came up with the same product which is larger that the item on the car.
Thanks for the interest in my issue
Best Regards
