im with waue on this one,
Thems tyres are not Rotational,
if they was the Arrows wouid be on the walls not the TRead,
ive had this discussion before regarding Load ratings and directions of tyres if youve owned a mpv you will know why ive had this discussion
a tyre fitter looks at the side wall before fitting them not the tread
the only time they look at the tread is when there trying to pair up tread patterns so the tyres dont look odd ball,
It's logic, mister!
yup it may very well be the Arrow on the tread may serve a purpose balancing purposes perhaps.
but if you was a tyre fitter wouid you be looking at the tread or the side wall ?
all the info needed is on the tyre wall.
also if you were to change tyres to differnt alloys you wouidnt have the arrow on the tread as it wouid of worn off thats why they put all the info on the tyre wall.
there is no arrow on the tread not on my tyres and not on any tyres ever made.
how would an arrow work on the tread ? whan it wears it will vanish
that "arrow" was a peice of celotape
i've fitted the tyres in any order because i worked out no matter which way you turn them the tread will be the same. and i'm going with my gut instinct that the tyre place that fitted them did it correctly .

if you dont believe me ask a tyre fitter
Officially rotational or not, the way they are on the wheels in the pic if you mount one on the left and one on the right the tread will not be symmetrical, period. Just look at the pics.

If you've got directional tyres, the arrow is on the side wall, usually nearest the outside on the rough ribbed bit. Sometimes it looks more like a half arrow though, but it's always there. Tyre fitters can't always be trusted to use common sense, they need a set of instructions.

Do not think about arrows, lozz! Just look at the tread and think about it.

Yup you are correct they are sided tyres but there not rotational,
as long as the tread pattern pairs up it wouidnt matter,
Rotational can only run one way they couid go either way in theory as long as there Equal,
idont know what them tyres are desighned for they couid be either wet tyres or desighned for more grip,
My old alfa romeo had weird tyres Because the power of it wouid burn off the edges so it had special tyres it was R.w.d tho
No, you don't Gary. Don't waste your money. What's happened here is your simple question about your tyres has turned into a massive debate on asymmetrical tyres. A quick search on Google will find similar topics in motoring forums all over the place. The simple answer is that if there isn't an arrow anywhere on the sidewall indicating a direction of rotation, then it doesn't have one. Yes, the tread does seem to point the wrong way on one side, but this isn't something that would cause a problem under normal driving conditions - especially not in a diesel family saloon.
Stick the asymmetricals on the front & when they've worn out, get some cheapy directionals on there.

so i need to get the the tyre arrowed changed round ?
Strict logic would suggest you to use both on the right side of the car, one on the frnt and one on the back, or have one changed round.
However you could use them on the same axis. You will notice it under special conditions (heavy emergency breaking), but not in everyday driving.

Maybe "IF" they were designed to throw water a certain direction
then maybe the offside to throw water into the car, and the nearside to throw water towards the kerb, hereby not throwing the water at other motorists?????
