1.9 205 Alloys on 406......Will they be ok?
Do you think these will be ok on my 406 110 HDI.......
She has as standard 195/65/15 Steelies
I have some 205 1.9 GTI wheel with 195/50/15's
So the wheel size is ok but the drop in tyre size, ie the 50's compared to the 65's..... Will that be ok or will it knock the speedo out by a good few MPH and could they do other damage due to the profile??

As long as the brakes are not too big to fit inside the wheels
A friend of mine has got 205gti alloy wheels on his 406
its a 1.9td with standard brakes whatever size they would be

cheers nick.
not to worry polski i get alot of people not liking it. i know its not the smoothest but i like it as it is.
the wheels will fit fine just try not to use the stick on weights as i had a problem with them catching on the callipers.
oh and make sure you get some slightly longer than standard French alloy wheels bolts with the flat face

Re: 1.9 205 Alloys on 406......Will they be ok?
Thanks guys
I will see if they fit, if so they will be fitted to my 406.
I dont have alloy wheel bolt though, just the steel one's that are on my wheels at the mo'.......Can I not use the steel bolts? If not a mate of mine is breaking a 306 XSI that has alloy bolts, would these be ok to use?

I wanted to put my 205 wheels with semi-slicks on the 406 when I took it to a track day, but they fouled on the front brakes. (Standard single-pot calipers with 283 mm discs).
