Plastic rear drop links

Hi guys
i had a look at replacing the plastic drop links on the rear but my question is how do you get to the bottom nut do i have to take the hub off or am i missing something as i cant get the allen key in and spanner on!!!

allen key?
on the D8 anyway, when i did mine the droplinks had space for a spanner to fit on the balljoint side.

If the worst comes to the worst cut it off with an angle grinder but there is enough room to get a spanner on it; I used a small pair of moles to stop the spindle spinning.

I recently done mine and i chiselled the socket off the ball and put vise grips on the exposed ball and they came off no problem.it only took two blows and the socket came off ,saves mucking about with allen keys and skink knuckles!.The new ones [ebay] have a flat on them for a spanner but you might have to pull the rubber boot back to see it.
SORRY FORGOT TO SAY SOAK EVERYTHING WITH WD40 THE DAY BEFORE !!!!!!!!!!
