Hi guys new to the forum,I have a 96' 1.8lx saloon currently on 14" steel rims , i have managed to get a set of alloys from fleabay (glx alloys i think 7 spokes) do i need new wheel bolts or are the ones for the steels ok, dont pick the wheels up till monday so i wont get a chance to look till then.
also my sunroof is being a pain the motor works but i think between the motor and actual sunroof something is amiss as it doesnt move and is slighty open

not good with all this rain had a quick look but looks a pain to get to
any help would be greatly appreciated.
cheers

You'll need the alloy wheel bolts aswell as they have a flat seat whereas the steel bolts have a 60 degree taper.
Sunroof assemblies usually have an emergency manual override, so it may be worth finding that and closing the sunroof properly. Had a similar problem on one of my old Mi16's and it was a twisty rope type thing which had snapped so the motor was only trying to open one side. In the end I just swapped the entire sunroof assembly which took a few hours but I was well happy to have a working sunroof afterwards.

you can manually close the sunroof but you will need an allen key to do it, the procedure is to open the interior light switch assembly near the rear view mirror.slide the clip there and there are two screws just unscrew them and disconnect any wiring connectors.the sunroof assembly motor you will see it clearly and at the bottom of it there is a hole you can insert the allen key and adjust accordingly for the sunroof to close. thats all.
