is it hard to change outer cv joints

hi guys i have 2 brand new cv joints for my 110hdi are they hard to do and hard to get the old ones off i have never done them on a 406 before

got the old cv joint off all is going well until now i cant get the new one over the circlip anybody any ideas how to get the cv joint in place

Take off the circlip and squash it in at the open ends, (make it more round) then ease it over the shaft, push the joint on and push in the circlip ends with a small screwdriver, then give the CV joint a gentle tap onto the shaft....start again if it's tight.

well thats it changed but i now need 2 track rod ends and 2 bottom ball joints as they were totally knackered
