hi my 406 hdi has a prob with the brake just woundered if any one else has had this prob and how to fix it
the brakes are hard to press when driving like no servo then all of a sudden the servo kicks in
ive checked vac pump ok ive changed hose from vac pump not that
im stumped no sezed calliper could it be something to do with the abs
please help

Hope not Could be the servo but I'm sure we had one a few years back did this, the vacuum pump seemed ok but turned out to be the problem. The pump also supplies vacuum for the solenoids at the back of the engine bay that work the turbo boost and EGR, notice any change in performance along with the braking problems? Any hissing noises?

im not puting it on road till november as i got it with blown water pump done water pump and got it runing all ive done is drove it about 1 mile round back roads to make shore it drove ok thats when i notice that when i apply the brakes you get no servo then seconds later servo cuts in .dont no about performance as only got to about 25mph becouse of the brakes
