ABS intermitant fault

So, my first long run in the Peugeot, (2.0 110 Hdi) Peterborough to Lockerbie. about 30 miles into the journey, i get the abs/brake fault flashing up on the display. Brakes fine etc. Got to Scotch Corner, stopped to let the dog out and on restart everything was fine. Drove to Lockerbie and the fault re-appeared about 5 miles. Just wondered if there are some usual suspects before I go searching. Any help/pointers appreciated.

I think it's usually a broken 'toothed' sensing ring on one of the driveshafts - have a search for ABS fault or similar and you're bound to find several posts.

Got same problem on mine.
You could try cleaning the teeth if any missing or ring can be moved them you'll need a new ring.
The dealer will say you need to change the driveshaft but this company sell replacement rings around 35 pounds.

Fitting involves heating the new ring and fitting over the CV joint outer casing. Or they can fit on 48 hour return basis.

is this another one of the faults which comes up in the mfd because if peugeot just put them faults into lights in the instrument cluster then they could easilly be blanked off with tape
