Rattle/Knock from rear passenger corner

Right guys, I've got a rattle coming from the rear passenger corner, sounds like a rattly parcel shelf when traveling over rough ground or potholes. After sticking my head in the boot whilst my dad drove around our yard its definately coming from the passenger corner. After jacking the car up and pulling at the wheel there appears to be little play. I took the wheel off and had a look and all bushes look sound and everything appears tight. Also checked the exhaust and it isn't making contact with the body anywhere. At a bit of a loss now. Flicked through the past threads and many folk have had similar rattles as a result of top links. I replaced the both rear top links in the summertime however they were the ebay cheapys which everyone says to avoid. Is there anything else that I've missed before I start thinking about forking out for new parts

Did the antirollbar bushes & drop links look ok?

The antirollbar bushes don't look A1 but there is still plenty of wear left in them, really can't think its the problem. Likewise the droplinks 'look' ok. I've literally given every link a pull and a shake and everything seems fairly solid. The 406 has been a funny car for me, when something wore out on my 405 I took a wheel off and it was immediately obvious what was wrong. Somehow with the 406, everything looks fine on the face of it and an investigation has to be launched to identify the problem

Just to round this thread off, the culprit was indeed the cheap drop links I'd bought of ebay. Lesson learned.
Don't buy cheap parts off ebay, just not worth it!

Well after replacing the rear drop link boyo which was knackered and that plastic link which was also knackered, my 406 is still rattling away
My suspicions now lead me to the shock absorber, really don't know what else could generate such a noise, it doesnt matter if your doing 2mph or 60mph, its always there

Is there a rubber bush or anything at the top end which its bolted to which could be away because it works fine and the cars handling is A1

Aye there is the anti roll bar bush but it looks fine, I'm wondering is there a mounting plate or something near the top of the strut which is worn out or loose

There are no struts on the rear, you could check the upper mounting rubbers on the shock tho.
