Has anyone used the drop links on ebay that cost 10 quid a pair are they any good ? Main dealer wants 30 quid a corner for genuine just wondered what people use am i wasting my money on the cheap ones.

They're Continental brand. However, notice that the brand isn't mentioned in the listing.

I would consider what the roads are like in your area.
If they are particularly bad, I think if you buy the cheap ones you'll be changing them often.
If you're handy with the spanners, and have the inclination, it may still pay you to buy cheap and change every few months.

I fitted a set. Bought as a pair for 11 quid from a N. Ireland motor parts seller.
Lasted 40,000 miles over 14 months. Seems pretty good to me for such a cheap part.
One section of road I drive every day is appaulingly broken up.
I just fitted the same again. Takes about 15 mintes per side.

Mine came from Ireland too probably the same seller, i got two for under a tenner and changed the near side about 4 to 6 weeks back.. My lmf wanted £14 each so thought it was well worth a go.

In fact i think it was rwb that gave me the link i'll see if i still have them in my ebay now... With reguards to roads my car spends most of its time riding speed bumps so time will tell i guess.

irember when igot drop links of a chap from ireland on ebay,
waited a week or so, they didnt turn up,

he kept on saying ive sent em, he sent loads out,

amonth later iended up with the parcel monkey at the door with a pile of parcels, all of em where droplinks ,

idont bother with the cheap droplinks anymore,
iget Qh ones for under 8quid each,

ive used ebay ones for the past 4 years and in that 4 years have only had to buy about 3 pairs. 2 of which were on my old d8 that i owned for 3 years.
ive never had a problem with them. no way am i paying 30 quid a corner from dealers or even 15 a corner from factors. i will stick to ebay ones

In all fairness, ebay droplinks can be alright,
ive had afew where theyve failed after a month or so, but they where tacky looking things,
some sellers sell them that a solid ones but some seem to throw out cheap flimsy things ..most probs its just down to finding a good seller on ebay,

at one stage the car parts shops near me where expensive, but after using the same one for a few years iget droplinks cheap off them
so ijust grab them off them,

if that wasnt the case id be buying ebay ones, to save a few quid

I had a set of rear droplinks from ebay and they lasted about a year/18000 miles. I go up and down a dirt track full of pot holes about 5 to 6 times a day and i live in a rural area where the roads aren't great. If you live in a town they would last longer i think. You get what you pay for i pay a bit more for mine the last set cost £22.00 from GSF. If you have the tools and don't mind having to change these a bit more often then buy the cheaper ones. I have found that the front droplinks last longer than the rear ones.

i use the one's off ebay & they usually last about a year but you cant go wrong at that price
