Still knocking :(

Ok, here's a list of replacement parts already fitted
Rear top links
Rear ARB lin thingy's
Replaced all bushes
Front drop links
all 3 engine mounts
ARB bushes.
I've still got a knocking from the front end, I took it down to my local mechanic and he's check everthing and although he can hear the knocking he cant find out where's its coming from. It can only be heard when setting off and changing from 1st to 2nd, and occasionally on realy bad potholed lanes.
So can anyone help in telling me where my next pay packet is going? Could it be gearbox related?
Cheers
Dan

Cheers for that, went out looking but didnt know what I was looking for

, but checked it now and everythings solid, the only thing that has a bit of play (less than 5mm) is when I grab the wheel at 12 & 6 and move it, but it doesnt make any noise....

You should inspect that area while getting someone to start the engine a few times. That should show up any weak or loose mountings/pillows .
Any chance it could be the suspension top mounts?

Remove the strut and check visually.
You say you've changed all 3 engine mounts....you know there's actually four right? One bottom, two top right and one on gearbox side.
Also another possibility could be track control arms.

Have you checked the bottom ball joints and wishbone bushes?

right, not been able to resolve this even with the excellent advice that was given, had it at 2 garages yesterday and 1 this morning and although they could hear the knocking they were unable to find the cause. I reluctantly took her to my local dealers who phoned me a few hours later and said something like the bush that attaches the strut to the front chassis, I might be wrong, was at work and is very noisy. Will tell you what it says on the invoice when I pick her up tomorrow.
Thanks again for all the input

Suspension top mount...Should be a cheap enough fix although you did drop it to the main stealers. To be honest I'm shocked that the other garages did not cop this

All fixed. It was part number 180634 (link) and emptied my wallet of £103.68, but was worth every penny. Apparently they missed it when they first checked it as it looked in good condition and there was hardly any movement in it, itwasnt until they put it on the rollers (?) that they found it. Anyway, I know you all like pics so here are a few of the offending item
