Track control bushes (front)

Post by V6Exec »

Got some play in the bush to the LH track control arm.

Simple question - how easy are they to replace ?

Watching this video for the Xantia (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykJvkgMhAe8) it seems to be a 10 minute job.

Options seem to be:

£60 for a track control arm ready to fit

£16 for the bush and having to fit it to the existing arm.

Which is the best way to go?
Remember - it only takes a few inches of water to drown a 406 don't make the same mistake I made! The V6 Exec is no more.

Hi

I did this job a couple of months ago.If you are on a tight budget and want cheapest option i would buy the bushes and do it yourself but make sure you get decent bushes otherwise you may find yourself having to do this job again. Some of the bushes on ebay are poor quality so make sure you go for OE bushes.

If you don't want the hassle of doing it yourself and just want to fit a whole new arm then go with the other option. When i did my suspension arms myself and it wasn't too much bother From memory the rear bushes were a lot easier to fit than the front ones . Anyway good luck and let us know how you get on
