Eicher Disc Pads Opinion??

Hi All

I need new Rear discs and pads and found some cheap ones made by Eicher, are they any good i wouldnt usually use budget but thought seeing as they are rear not so important anyone got any ideas what theyre like

A brief Google says... disks are ok, pads rattle about in the calipers, only use on the back where they don't matter so much :frown:

sounds good to me i only need on the rears anyway, i do 100 mils driving a day but its all up and down the a1 so no stop start driving

Useless! They are a cheap Chinese brand that ECP have put a German sounding name on.
They are very spongy and tend to fade very very quickly!

If you are going to ECP then go for the Pagid brand. They are usually not a great deal more expensive and a much better product.

i got pagid alround on mine and have no problem wiv them they are gd and the discs havent gone rusty

I gave up using them on the front of mine,i was warping them within 6 months.Spent £56 on ebay for some "cheap"drilled & grooved disks & no problem with them after 18 months.
But they should be fine on the rear as i had them on for nearly 4 years untill i replaced them.

Managed to pickup some mintex ones for £32 thats for 2 discs and a set of pads that was from a place called Pro Parts which was pretty reasonable i think

Tip possibly for the front.
My local factors do a brand called 'Varga' . . . at keen prices.
which are identical upon opening to the brake engineering pads.
I've used a few sets of these over the last few years and they seem up to the
abuse that I can give. I (personally) see no difference to the freodo brand.
