O/S/R Brake caliper advice

Post by pyroboris »

Hi All,

I recently replaced the rear hubs on my 1998 406 2.1td exec, whilst doing this I discovered that my O/S/R brake caliper has seized and will not slide in/out no matter what I do. So I'm going to replace it with a working second hand one, but I seek your advice as to which other 406 models use the same caliper, as I am not having much luck finding older 2.1's in my local area (Birmingham).

Many Thanks :)

As I remember, I think rear calipers are pretty universal, when I looked on service box
I think I had rear calipers off a 1.9 for my 2.0HDi
1999 D8.5 HDi GLX - Sold :(

2007 Mondingo Zetec - I seek forgiveness :( Bring back my 406

All the same part throughout, unless it's got drums on the rear...
