My first post, so hello to all and thanks for running a really useful and informative site. Just visited Olympic Peugeot in Stroud and the parts guy tells me he's had these eccentric bolts (rear camber adjustment bolts), on back order for 9 months. Peugeot keep cancelling his back order every time he submits it, (suppose it's easier than actually making the part in question), These are now like hobbyhorse doo doo's so if anybody has any info on where I could get two I'd be really grateful. Breakers are out as they always need cutting off with a grinder.
Thanks,
MacWomble

Hi & welcome to the forum.
You might want to say hello in the 'Welcome' section, (we're not sticklers for rules, just more people might notice and say hello).
That's a respectable, mileage for your 406, be good the hear more / maybe see a pic....

you could do like i did last year, cut the end with eccentric washer off and weld it onto a new bolt with the head cut off. On the other end you will have to make a v in the bolt for the other washer. Its possible to do with a little care.

Does anyone know the dimensions of them? M12, M14, M16, outside diameter of the washer, and the length of the bolt. Just wondering if any we have at work might fit?

According to Service Box, they're M10x1.5 pitch x 68mm long......doesn't say anything about the positioning of the washer though!

Thanks for the welcome and I will pop over to the main board to hello too.
I'm not sure how unavailable these bolts are. My local dealer is desperate for them and says he keeps getting orders cancelled by Peugeot and I've read elsewhere they are hard to find.
It's possible Peugeot may just make them from time to time and they get snapped up as soon as they are available, but given these arms are a weakness I'd hope Peugeot kept them in stock.
Meanwhile I have two shiny new camber adjustment arms.......held on with plain old bolts.
I've raised a case with Peugeot and await their reply, which I'll post.

Maybe Peugeot wait until there are enough orders to make it worth their while turning out a few hundred (with some extras for stock) so there haven't been enough orders yet. these parts are the same across all 406s so I can't imagine them not being made any more (famous last words...)
I'd try anyone breaking one on ebay (especially Ade1122), maybe local breakers, and perhaps even finding a local engineering shop to make you a pair - all they appear to be is a bolt with a big eccentric washer on it. I can give you the dimensions off of Service Box which hopefully an engineering shop would understand ('cos I don't

)
5132 59 - ECCENTRIC HEAD SCREW 10X1,50-68
5169 04 - ECCENTRIC WASHER DIAM EXT 34-E5
6936 86 - NUT WITH BASE 10X150-13,3

Found this on a bmw site
According to pricing one bolt and washer was just over €3, wonder how much the dealers will charge.

They are used on a bmw that went out of production in 2010 so should have the parts for several years, (saying that I once had a 24 year old bimmer and the dealers could get any part no matter how obscure)
