Squealy Brakes

I was a muppet when I did the discs and pads a couple of months back and forgot to grease the back of the pads and sliders and the squeal under braking has got progressively worse.
Before I whip the calipers apart again I just want to check it's ok to grease up what are now used pads ? As the pads and discs were fitted together I'm assuming it's ok but it doesn't hurt to ask.

You can apply it whenever you have the brakes apart. It doesn't matter.
Whenever I'm doing anything near the brakes, I usually pop the pads out to have a quick look to make sure everything's ok and put a little Copper Grease on the reverse side when they go back in just to help things along a bit.

Don't put copper grease on the sliders, copper grease goes hard and can cause the sliders to stick.....lots of experience having to clean the darn stuff off sticking sliders!!
Grease the rear of the pads and the edges of the pads where they fit in the calipers....also clean the pad facing with heavy gauge production paper (60 grade) and file a chamfer on the edge of the pad material, this will cure the squeak.
