Powered Steering Cylinder

I looks like I have a very slow leak from the powered steering ram & cylinder.
I understand this is an MOT failure.
Looking at the prices for 2nd. hand units on ebay, I was wondering if anyone knows if you can get a seals kit for these ?
I would prefer putting on something I had refurbished than risking an old one with an unknown history.
Regards,
Colin

Thanks for that.
Surprise, surprise, the car got through its MOT as is.
I'll keep the information though. If the leak won't cure itself but I don't intend keeping the car beyond next summer.
Regards,
Colin.

If its the inner seals that are leaking,it won't cure it self
Once they leak the seals eat away./get worse and worse.
You can get an adative to put in it slows it down but isn't a cure..I'd throw that in if your not intending keeping the

I am not a great believer in additives, they just postpone the day you need to do something.
Looking at it earlier, the fabric cover is intact and you have to look to see the oil staining. I only noticed because the reservoir level dropped down to min. but very gradually. I have a feeling that it might be the pipe joints, which if I cut off the fabric cover, should be easy to remake (famous last words).

Colin.
