hi guys just had a steering rack fitted couple of days ago and noticed a sqeek when turning the wheel from left to right,i only have to turn the wheel about an inch and theres this annoying noise, ive been underneath rack looks fine with no leaks and both rubber boots are on correctly and the power steering resevoir is full, could it be the knucke joint where rack meets shaft?

If the noise is at the bottom of the steering column it could be the rubber part that the bottom of the rack fitting turns in needs some WD40 or silicon spray on it.
If the noise is at the top then squirt WD40/silicon lube around where the steering wheel meets the column housing as it could be the metal ring on the indicator fitting catching/grating.
Best thing, as you know, is to go back and have a word.
