Which wheels fit saloons with Brembos?
Hi,
I expect they must be at least 16", and have the correct offset of around 20. To fit 205-55x16 tyres
The coupes have an offset of about 14.
But which from the Peugeot range fit properly?
thanks,
Mike

The Starfish coupe wheels fit, as do the coupe Hoggars.
Both of these are 16" with the correct offset - no spacers required.

Keep in mind, its not offset that clears brembos, as you can have a very low or negative offset and still not clear Brembos. Its about the distance from the mounting point to the spokes.
Re: Which wheels fit saloons with Brembos?
Don't the coupe wheels have a different offset from the saloon, which could stress the bearings?

You can't clear the Brembos without coupe wheels or spacers/offset - both will put a small strain on the bearings.
The difference between Coupe Hoggars and Saloon Hoggars is that there is a small spacer built into the rear of the wheel, and the spokes have a cut-out to clear the brembos.

Are the hubs on the coupe the same as on the saloon?
in which case the stress on the saloon with coupe offsets will be no worse than on the coupe normally.
Are there any other effects, other than the wheels sticking out a bit further.

Hi, yes I think they are the same. I put 16" Starfish on my Estate once and they fitted fine. They did stick out further than standard alloys but still within the arch and the effect was a nice looking ' stance ' ....
I don't think they rubbed....

Don't suppose you've got any pics, as I'm after some different wheels for mine and wondered what the Starfish's would look like ?GingerMagic wrote:Hi, yes I think they are the same. Re: Which wheels fit saloons with Brembos?
I'm running starfish wheels on my saloon which clear the brembo calipers nicely and I personally like them on the saloon.
If you run 205 55 16 tyres they are a pretty common size (Mondingo etc) and reasonably priced, unlike the 215's the coupe has which are not a common size and therefore silly prices.
I can grab some pics of my saloon if needed.

Or just get some aftermarket 17's which clear them and tyres become even cheaper
215/45/17 common as hell.

Thanks for that guys.
Looks like coupe wheels and 205 55 16 tyres is the way to go.
Given the lunar road conditions around here, I don't want to go below 55 profile.
It's strange Peugeot did not put Brembos on the saloon, as it is a bit heavier than the coupe and can carry five passengers.
I tow a small camping trailer on French motorways, so at 80mph fully laden, I would like the extra braking ability.
