Broken Rear Spring

Hi All,
Wife has a 2002 2.0 hdi 406 saloon and we have since found out that the car has a broken rear spring and was wanting some tips / advice / guidance on how to change them, gonna do both,...any help much appreciated.

Shouldn't be to difficult. Get yourself a Haynes manual then you will always have it for reference.

I haven't replaced a 406 rear spring, but looking at mine it seem that removing the lower shock absorber bolt and swing down the lower suspension arm will give you room to remove the spring....otherwise you could support the lower arm on a jack and remove the lower shock absorber bolt and the bottom stub axle bolt and let the jack down....this will allow the bottom arm to lower with the spring.
Replacing by jacking up the bottom arm until the bolts go back in.
