creaking rear suspension

Hi my 2003 HDI estate creaks from the nearside rear when turing right, not all the time but quite often, any ideas where I should start looking?

Nearside is left, right? So it's throwing extra weight onto the wheel. Is tit just a creak as the weight goes on or is it more a continuous noise? Or maybe a creak creak creak as the wheel turns? The backplates on these seem to enjoy going rusty and can rub on the disk sometimes, especially cornering as stuff flexes.
