Whenever I step back and look at my pug (V6 estate) I always think it's let down by being so arse-high.
It's like it needs lowering at the back by about an inch just to level it out??
Anyone else think this?
I do eventually eventually want to get some lowering springs (about 30mm). Would these level it out at all?

Probably,
I always felt that my 2.0 hdi sat to high at the front
So I lowered it at the front only.
You can get quite a choice of different lowering springs for the 406
Weitec (now ST) suspension do what they brand as a wedge kit were you can have different
Lowering front & rear.

I also feel the back is wayyy too high, but in a way that makes me confident when I'm going through steep ramp or even unnaturally high speed bumps.
The previous owner had lowered the rear which I do have to admit it looks nicer overall, but having to slow down for steep ramp or speed bumps gets tiring very quickly (and even then sometimes it still scrapes the bottom of the car).

I think this is more about the front end sinking over time, springs/dampers/bushes all getting tired.
We canvassed a thread on here once where members were encouraged to measure the front end ride height, obviously I can't be arsed to find it and you can bet Photofuckit have ruined it anyway but the measures should still be recorded.

Reading through that link, TooT said his V6 was lower at the front, maybe that's why mine looks stupid also? I think it's a good excuse for some lowering/"levelling" springs either way. 680mm ground clearance doesn't sound like a lot though, less than my DeLorean I think

Ok,
Looking at lowering springs, it seems Apex springs are no longer available? these seemed to be the common choice.
Has anyone got PI lowering springs on their car? are they any good?
I'm Looking at Spax as well but they're more expensive and don't clearly list the estate

It's a bit firmer obviously, but not in a bad way. It hasn't ruined it (for me anyway)
Also it doesn't roll into the bends as much (which I prefer).
But yes I'm very happy overall & they are good quality & have done over 50k with them fitted.
Mainly due to being new & 40mm lower
As the spring rate is the same it get's firmer the shorter it is.

Well I had it parked outside for a while without being driven and noticed one day that the front was ridiculously low... I guess I have to get lowering springs now as the original has snapped! Seems to happen with all my bloody cars! this and the Delorean within a couple of weeks of each other!!
