The thread in the locknut that fits on the front suspension damper, the one that comes off when replacing the spring, has picked up. It was very tight coming off and wont go on by hand more than a couple of turns, other side is fine.
Does anyone know what size it is? M14 is too coarse on the pitch, can they be bought without buying the struts?
This was a simple job to replace a broken spring, the pinch bolt snapped when undoing it and now this.

Re: Lock nut for front damper
Thanks Doggy,
I measured the tpi and found pitch to be 1.5mm instead of the coarse 2mm thread.
Locknuts ordered, hopefully they won't take too long to get here.
Ive missed the old girl, driving my partners 1L Aygo at the moment, awful car.

I hear you.
My daughter's got a 107, doesn't impress, but beats walking.
