cup holders for a d8

Post by chrisfinlay »

so, after running around trying to find a replacement bulb for my external temp display, I've decided a cup holder may be a better use of the space...is it possible to get one that fits the slot where the ETD would normally go? Seems a good sized space for holding cans/bottles...

Just mentioned to teamy there that you can get the centre console from a D9 that has two OK cupholders. Id go for that myself as I hate trinkets and gadgets in a car.

I'm not that keen on replacing the whole centre console... seems like a lot of work for only one thing. Can't seem to find one on ebay and no idea where to get one anyway, or how to go about fitting it. And I've just bought the no-smokers kit for my car and not sure how it will go with a d9 console...

The centre console isnt a hard thing to get out there is just 4 nuts to take out, and 2 screws then a few clips and sliding, but its just a 20 min job not too hard

you have the annoying cigarite lighter that can be very fiderly to remove and to refit which is the biggest problem when removing the centre consol

That has got to be one of the most annoying things about owning a D8 :frown: On a long journey sat with a cold drink between your legs is not fun. think i may look into this D9 conversion
