You may have a loose grommet in the floor - try looking at the footwell area from under the car.

Re: Bit of a wet floor
I suspect the door seal.
Put some talc along the rubber seal on the inside of the car, give it a blast with the hose and see if the talc has ran down - should pinpoint a split in the rubber, or at least if the water is getting in this way......
While your door is open, check to see if the 2 drain holes along the bottom of the door are not blocked.

Re: Bit of a wet floor
My rear and front drivers side footwells are soaked again.
I did the sunroof front drains which were indeed blocked.....but that had not solved the issue.
Is there a way to clear the rear ones easily?
Or anywhere else it could get into the rear?

Re: Bit of a wet floor
My estate had a wet floor in the rear for a day - I thought the kids had spilt a drink at first but it came back after I dried it.
Turned out to be the door seal, hard to tell but there was a trickle running into the car when I opened the door.
Took the seal off my donor car and all fixed.
Maybe you can go to a car-wash, and jump in the back when the machine starts and have a good look for leaks with a torch

Re: Bit of a wet floor
Which seal did you replace exactly? I'm having the same problem with my saloon when there is heavy rain - it looks like it's leaking out from the bottom of the door card but I'm not entirely sure. The drains in the door seem ok.GingerMagic wrote:My estate had a wet floor in the rear for a day - I thought the kids had spilt a drink at first but it came back after I dried it.

Re: Bit of a wet floor
Hi, I changed the seal that runs around the opening, not the one on the door.
I mustard mitt I haven't checked the carpets recently now I don't use the car much but I'm sure its still dry inside...
I believe saloons have a weak spot at the back by the rear lights too - viewtopic.php?f=10&t=14019
Hope this helps.

Re: Bit of a wet floor
I must check that out. Was it hard changing the seal?
And thanks for the link. I noticed the boot floor carpet would occasionally be a bit damp around the edges, and then investigated further on Friday to find the spare tyre was quite wet and rusty But I believe this is a separate leak to the door.
I take it that hole is the same on D9's?

Re: Bit of a wet floor
The seal is easy, just gradually pull it free - its a fixed shape so its easy to put back on...
As for the leak on a D9, I couldn't tell you, sorry.
