Hey! I just signed up, hopefully someone will be able to help me here
My heater matrix is leaking, so today i attempted taking it out and replacing it. Ive been told that it is possible to do it by removing the glovebox and the bit behind, but i really cant find a way to remove the plastic thats behind the glovebox.. Is it even possible? I dont really fancy taking the entire dash out..
Welcome clayman!
It's not a job I've ever attemted but I'm sure others will be along with ideas!
Is the car a D8 (Front grill like venetian blinds) or a D9 (honeycomb grill)? What engine?
Have you got a haynes for it?

Its a 2.1td 12v exec. I think its also a D8 going by the grill. I've got the haynes but it really made it out to be an easy job, really doesnt help much at all.
Hi there, welcome aboard . 2.1tds only came in D8 flavour, no further thought necessary That's what I read, clovebox out, undercover off, Bob's yer uncle. Mine's a little different but hopefully someone's got some experience and will be along once their hangover's gone Can you actually spot the matrix with the glovebox off?
Some of the matrix is visible, i can feel the pipes further on up a bit. This undercover seems to be screwed in near the back onto a metal frame. I can see the screw on the left side (although it is impossible for me to get), and im not sure about the right side at all. Must be a simple way of doing this.. without radweld
