Iv got a leather interior gathered up for a very respectable price. Its straight out of the car but what are the contols like to fit? Is it much hassle... Cheers

Re: Leather seat controls
Under the drivers seat there is also a ventilated ECU casing nailed to the floor (you can see it from the rear seat footwell) and you will need this as there is a whole sh*t load of wires coming from it. I think you can get the seat to move about by frigging up a supply to the motors but the memory function needs a lot of work and is also tied in with the wing mirror position.

Re: Leather seat controls
Forget it lol . I just put a leather interior into my diesel 406 and gave up after 2 days of trying to sort the wiring , ended up using the runners off my old interior and forgetting the electrics .
If you do go for it , Good luck .

Re: Leather seat controls
Well fellas, i know this topic has probably been covered before but im looking sum advice which is specific to my problem because my knowledge of wiring is very, very basic
.
I have got a Lx diesel 406 and can get the leather interior out of a 97 executive... id have access to get controls if need be but my question is... Does the dash have to be pulled out or anything rediculous? Could the job be done in a day?
Is the devices for controlling the seats plug and play or is there much wiring and work required?
help is appreciated
Marty

Re: Leather seat controls
Me and several others here have done it in less than a day.
You need to rip off the huge useless ECU unit from the driver's seat and wire it in manually. You also need to solder either live or ground (can't remember) to the switch itself.
A passenger one is much easier to do and you only really need the live and ground feeds.
Have a search on here, it's been covered extensively. (not sure if that was lost in the hack though)
