Hi all,
I own a Peugeot 406 D9 MK2. I once saw that there were a member here changed his speedometer from an HDi to Coupe. I want to change my speedo also. Can it works? I live in Indonesia and want to import the used coupe speedo here. My speedo now is the standart one with no silver ring, 2 big ring and 2 smalls for gas and temp. and also the Automatic view panel over the rev counter.
Could I swap it with no fault in the BSI? the other post here said that it will works. Or should I search over the other D9 speedometer panel, with additional 5th ring for oil pressure and silver chrome ring?
My other question, will my kilometer change also? with the new speedometer?
Thanks for your help, this forum does help me a lot.

You will need to find an instrument cluster that's arranged the same, dismantle them both and swap just the surround around. If you plug another cluster in, the BSI will add together the mileages.

So, you mean that if my car is 100.000 km and the swap speedo is 50.000 km it will sum the km to 150.000 km or choose the original km from my car (not from the swap speedo? )
Is that possible to change from the coupe to D9 MK2 speedo? regarding that the connector is the same?

The D9 saloon estate and coupe clusters are the same with the exception that the coupe one has the silver bit around the dials. The D8 ones are different, the petrol ones are different to the diesel ones and the manual ones are different to the manual ones, so if you wanted to swap a coupe one into a D9 estate or saloon, you'll still need to find an auto one from a D9 coupe with the same sort of engine. Is that possible to change from the coupe to D9 MK2 speedo? regarding that the connector is the same?

Hi, Hpw about an experiment? the objective is to change and change again (maybe after 10 times) the speedometer, add the milleage until 999.999 and wait until it reset again to 000000. Can I do that for sure?
