It's a nice enough job.
But the boot is too featureless to leave like that. It looks... half arsed. Not in terms of quality, but in the fact that there now a big void of nothing. Like someone could not be bothered designing anymore just as they got to the boot lid.

sometimes less is more in design, look at the nissan juke, the designer just went a bit too far with stupid details and made something that makes the multipla look attractive, though i do like a peugoet badge on my boot, its a lion after all just looks better than most other logos out there like vw, hyundai, kia, and honda their logos are all crap, the best though is mercedes especially the one on the end of the bonnet i loved driving the big ol barge with this star pointing at the front it helped parking but also just give you a constant reminder you have bought a good car

I remember my dad got a lend of a Merc and it was something wafting around in a big comfortable car with a pointy star at the end of the bonnet.

I see some X and S type owners put Jag ornaments on their bonnets too.

jag ornament just doesnt have the same effect as the merc one, its as if your aiming the car at whatever your going towards. But merc are great cars, im not a fan of german cars but mercedes i definatley like them, the build quality on them (when they are building the cars right) is not available on other cars.

I think its looks good :cheesy: , love the "clean" euro look. I was thinking of going this direction with the estate.

STi? theres a model Peugeot cant bring back now thanks to Subaru  Wonder what that stood for :?:
406 STi has a nice ring to it

I recall back when there were plenty of 405s on the go there was so many different editions like GLD-Dturbo, STdt, GTDt (yeah peugeot beat vw to that one) Style, But there was some other ones i cant remeber but they really were like someones words in a game of scrabble.
Bad back axles wasnt that the 405s main problem?

speaking off 405 back axles, i had a grest video of me reversing my old one with the hand brake full on, the car bounced clear off the ground like one of those pimped out hydraulic suspensioned yankie motors, then i weighed it in

now i think of it, the first car i learnt to drive in was a 405, although i couldnt drive after being in it, it was my first experience of driving in a nice phase 2 or d9 405 (did the 405 have that naming scheme), the soft steering wheel was a blessing because i banged my head on it a good few times.

I agree. But it really only matters that you like it. Plus you have done it really well and even if people don't like it i think everyone can appreciate the work that went into it.

I am going to de-badge mine, but will stop at removing the lion.
