The electric adjustment is really easy to wire up and so is the heated.waue1978 wrote:Isn't that going to be a nightmare to wire up though? Bad enough sorting out the wiring for the elctric adjustment.
this guy said he will send me step by step instructions that a kid could follow

all thats needed is a fused pos from battery for heated seats , BUT ... thats worrying me a bit because it can start to cause the battery going flat having the heated seats direct to battery if there left on by accident

SO ... im thinking get the basic seat ECU that just puts power to the movement... and sod the heated seats off...

Re: Heated seats
You could always include a relay, powered off of something that's on when the igntion's on.

Re: Heated seats
i will probably run it straight to battery .
after all. headlights. foglights are all direct to battery anyway.
they work even with ignition off
as long as switches are off shouldnt be a problem ...

Re: Heated seats
i'll bring this post back since its for heated seats ..
does any1 know if the heated seats work when the seat is empty and i turn it on
also do these heated seats stay switched on constant.
i'm sure i read somewere that after a certain amount of time they switch off to stop them getting to hot or burning out ?
is this correct ?

Re: Heated seats

Re: Heated seats
that cant be right. heated seats dont have their own fuse. they share with say the heated rear screen,
so all of them on together will be a lot.
but no fuse on the fusebox is over 30 amp so there wrong.
to be honest tho i think im gonna run a single power wire for everything
2 to each seat. heated and motors to be on the safe side. and put 20 amp in them all
