LED 's

Right I have been discharged from hospital and here are some pic's of dash and headlight in daylight. Sorry for unsteady hand for dash

The dash looks good, but they're bloody bright! I guess it must be difficult to get LEDs which match the incandescent bulbs brightness, and of course impossible with buying loads of them only to throw them away :/

Surely you could just adjust them with the dimmer switch.

Only if you replaced every bulb with the same brightness LED. If you look at the picture it looks like the incandescents are at a very low dimmer setting

Aah, see what you mean. I assumed he'd replaced all the bulbs in the dash with LED's at the same time which is what I would do. I may have a play about and do this at the weekend as I've got loads of spare white dashbulb LED's kicking around.

Well, I assume (uh-oh!) he's only replaced the needle bulbs, since the red bits are much, much darker

I wouldn't mind getting a few of the blue/white bulbs that Peugeot issued as standard for the dial needles in the 206's and some 406's. Does anyone know where to get them?

I replaced all the globes with bright white leds and there is one problem that I must still sort out and that is to fit a resisror in line with the dim switch to limmet curent because the dimmer switch does not dim them at all. To use a different colour might not work on the dails deu to the background colour is red to orange that Peugeot painted .

I am verry grieved to say that on the 20/03/2010 some idiot desided to brake harsh and came to a deadstill position in a massive rain downpour for a 1 centimeter deep pothole , its ileagal to stop deadstill when vehicles are behind you except for pedestrians here, the 4x4 in front of me braked to afoid acsidentand came inches of hitting golf, when I braked I skidded on the mud from pothole in to the vehicle's towbar writing my 406 of and culpred drove off with on dammage , he had no registration plate so I can not trace him/her.
I am grieved dew to I just respayed the aluminium rims to a gunmetal pearl efect and put a scoop on the bonnet with same color it looked stuning and aggresive even a subaru drivers complemented on the looks, even sadder note is that I can not get another one here thats in nic condition dew to if you drive one you will keep it for ever, the few people here won't sell and there's some that is in same position as I to get another one, so that leave's me one option left as Peugeot blood runs thick now in my veins , I tried the rest this week and all dissapointed me, I have now a Peugeot 1007 1.6 16valve 2tronic 2006 model in my eye that I like in my short list, well I can get a nice 206 gti here but dew to all that drives with me including my wife,daugter and coleugs have long legs and are a pain to get in and out at the back. There are no other Pugs around in 200k's from me and don't want to drive 400k's if vehicle has to go back for repair's and of course their's what I can afford so it looks 1007 it will be.

Indeed, real sorry to hear that mate I live in fear of something like that myself, I can only afford 3rd party insurance (fully comprehensive would be like buying another car every year ) and there's plenty of uninsured idiots on the road

Okay so I had to buy the 1007 and it's not bad its got its good points.
The last pic's of my beloved 406 are at my facebook location ,Thunder Storm,
