They involve drilling holes in the bonnet though, so I think I'll give 'em miss :)

Nah, they fit on the standard holes underneath the bonnet. It was the fancy ones you'd need to drill holes for.

I did have, I deleted it when I realised they were useless on the D8 (although a couple of layers of insulation tape...). Gah! Service Pox is still down, I'll try it later as it suggests. Or you could, try "washer jets" in the 406 facelift search box.

steve_earwig wrote:For you and anyone else contemplating this "mod" - Don't bother!!! :( The driver's side blocked up on my D8 and, remembering how it's held together with Araldite from last time, I thought I'd just swap it with one from the D9 (to be replaced at my leisure). So, remove old one, push on new one. And push, and wiggle and... break the pipe of the back :x Alraldite that one, meanwhile pinch the other off the D9, file the clip down a bit (now in "we don't take no sh#t from a machine" mode) and fit. Goes on a lot easier but just about falls off again  Nevermind, turn the ignition on and hit the washers and... it just sprays the bottom of the screen :x and there's no adjustment so there's bugger all you can do about it
This almost certainly doesn't apply to an early D9 of course.

Is the curvature of the D9 bonnet greater than that of the D8, making it higher in the middle?
