Re: LEATHER STEERING WHEEL COVER
Don't be too sure of that; I picked up one for £30.
Granted, it was the wrong sodding wheel as mine is an early D9 (Nov '99), and the one I got was for a 2003 model. Peugeot saw fit to change the design along the way.
Scout around the local scrappy's, and check the parts trade websites. The one I used was "Breakersyard":
http://www.breakeryard.com/cars/make/peugeot/406.aspx
Fill in yer car details, then pick steering wheels. Make sure that when you submit the request, in the "more info" field, you specify the exact year of car you have.
The request will go out to parts dealerships and scrap yards all over the country. If a company has one, they'll contact you and give you a price. Between £20 and £40 seems reasonable, but like I said, make sure it's for the right year of car, and that other than being leather-bound, that it matches your existing wheel exactly.

Re: LEATHER STEERING WHEEL COVER
Thats kinda like a leather nodder for your wheel
Mmmm, you just know that it aint gonna look nothing like the picture when you fit it yourself (bit like nodders I suppose ).
Maybe if you'd spent years as a master upholsterer.......
Good luck with it though, and YES you ARE posting a pic of it completed just to shut me up
