I have an 02 406, and the dash looks a bit bland, i have seen some 2003 se models have a silver dash which looks quite nice, but where could this be bouht, i initially thought about buying a replacement radio, climate control, and MFI units thta were silver but im sure theres a better way to do this, what options for getting the middle part of the dash in the metalic silver are there

Rattle cans,or ebay laminate kits.
If it where available from a pug dealer the trim would probably be about 96gazillion pounds. As Im sure youve found out by now.

Take it apart and spray it. I did that to my D8.

I enquired about a part for mine, and bearing in mind it's a bit of plastic with a finish laminated onto it, it's still steep at £46, so I agree with HBC and get painting them yourself

Here's mine (again a D8 like HBC)

That looks quite good, but thats a phase 1 dash by the look of it, what does D8 mean when they are referring to it in the forums there is D8, and D9 mentioned and i have no idea what it means, and what spray did you use to achieve that finish, and where does the chrome speedo rings come from that interior looks very good.

See the button to the left of the rear window heater control? Does that do anything on higher spec cars? I saw that it has something like a suspension icon inside it, though it's just a immobile blank on mine. Or at least it was, now it does something else...

The chrome rings were off ebay, but just looked and no D9 ones on there.

I had no issues whatsoever, but another member struggled with them.
I advise watching the vid available beforehand which makes it easy to follow.

I cheated really, as I do the odd delivery for a firm that specialises in painting automotive plastic parts, and they did them for me, and the finish is superb.

The dash pic like the one blue406 has shown is what im after, but what sort of paint is used and how is it used for the dashboard, and can it be applied as many times as necessary to make it more silver. Is it a simple case of just taking apart the dash and spray painting it?, Below shows the dash in my car, its drab shiny black colour lets the interior down and the silver i think would improve it.

I viewed it, for anyone looking to change to a silver dash it really is an invaluable resource, thanks for the help. But where can the small sticker be acquired that says 'rds/eon' on the right be acquired, its not important, but does it have to be completely sanded away for painting
